key terminology

Diegetic- sound from within the film world / sound that the characters can hear.
direct sound - is sound that directly from the film .
foley sound -sound effect that are added to a film or video.
score and soundtrack -
parallel contrapuntal sound - parallel : when the music goes with the images i.e dramatic music in a fight scene.
contrapuntal: when the music goes against the images i.e sombre music over he fight scene .
sound bridge- is when you hear the sound of a the next or previous scene, it links two scene together.
